1. Introduction
Tununue.com allows approved couriers and riders to assist with pickup and delivery of customer orders. By applying as a courier, you agree to follow these Courier Terms and Conditions, our delivery policies, safety rules, and instructions issued by Tununue.com.
2. Courier Eligibility
To become a courier on Tununue.com, you must provide accurate information and meet the requirements set by Tununue.com.
- You must provide your real name and contact details.
- You must provide valid identification documents where required.
- You must provide transport details where applicable.
- You must be reachable by phone during assigned deliveries.
- You must not submit false, stolen, or misleading documents.
3. Courier Approval
Courier applications are subject to review and approval by Tununue.com. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval.
- Tununue.com may approve, reject, suspend, or deactivate a courier account.
- Additional documents may be requested before approval.
- Couriers must keep their account details and documents updated.
4. Required Documents
Couriers may be required to upload documents such as:
- Passport photo or profile photo.
- National ID front and back.
- Driving licence, where applicable.
- KRA PIN certificate, where applicable.
- Certificate of good conduct, where applicable.
- Vehicle or motorcycle photos, where applicable.
- Logbook, insurance, or other vehicle documents, where applicable.
5. Delivery Responsibilities
Couriers must handle all assigned deliveries professionally and carefully.
- Pick up orders only from the assigned pickup location.
- Deliver orders only to the correct customer or approved recipient.
- Protect products from loss, damage, theft, or mishandling.
- Follow pickup and delivery instructions provided by Tununue.com.
- Update delivery status honestly and on time.
- Report failed deliveries, delays, or customer issues immediately.
6. Package Handling
Couriers must not open, use, exchange, damage, or tamper with customer packages. Packages must be delivered in the same condition in which they were received.
- Do not open sealed packages unless instructed by Tununue.com.
- Do not replace items in a package.
- Do not leave packages unattended in unsafe areas.
- Do not hand over packages to unauthorized persons.
7. Proof of Delivery
Couriers may be required to provide proof that an order was delivered successfully.
- Customer name or confirmation.
- Delivery code or OTP, where applicable.
- Customer signature, where applicable.
- Delivery photo, where applicable.
- Status update in the courier dashboard.
8. Failed Deliveries
If delivery fails, the courier must report the reason immediately. Failed delivery reasons may include customer unavailable, wrong address, unreachable customer, unsafe delivery location, or order cancellation.
- Couriers must not mark an order as delivered if it was not delivered.
- Returned items must be taken back to the instructed return location.
- False delivery updates may lead to suspension or penalties.
9. Customer Handling and Conduct
Couriers must treat customers, vendors, staff, and other users with respect.
- No insults, threats, harassment, or rude behaviour.
- No asking customers for extra unauthorized fees.
- No misuse of customer phone numbers or addresses.
- No sharing customer information with third parties.
- No intimidation or unsafe behaviour during delivery.
10. Courier Charges and Payments
Courier payment, delivery fees, and any applicable charges will be handled according to Tununue.com’s delivery and payment procedures.
- Courier payments may depend on completed and verified deliveries.
- Payments may be withheld while delivery issues or disputes are under review.
- Unauthorized extra charges to customers are prohibited.
- Tununue.com may deduct penalties where courier misconduct causes loss or damage.
11. Loss, Damage, or Misconduct
Couriers may be held responsible where loss, damage, delay, or customer complaint is caused by courier negligence, dishonesty, or misconduct.
- Lost packages may lead to compensation recovery from the courier.
- Damaged packages caused by poor handling may lead to penalties.
- False delivery confirmation may lead to account suspension.
- Theft or fraud may lead to permanent removal and possible legal action.
12. Safety and Legal Compliance
Couriers are responsible for following traffic rules, road safety regulations, and applicable laws.
- Use safe transport methods.
- Do not deliver while intoxicated or impaired.
- Ensure motorcycles, cars or vans are safe for use.
- Maintain valid licences and insurance where applicable.
13. Suspension or Termination
Tununue.com may suspend or terminate courier access for reasons including:
- False documents or false account details.
- Repeated failed deliveries.
- Customer complaints or misconduct.
- Package theft, damage, or tampering.
- Fraudulent delivery updates.
- Violation of these Courier Terms and Conditions.
14. Privacy and Customer Data
Couriers may access customer names, phone numbers, and delivery addresses only for delivery purposes. This information must not be stored, shared, sold, or misused.
15. Changes to These Terms
Tununue.com may update these Courier Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of courier services after updates means you accept the updated terms.
